I don't think that's very fair as there must be tons of people on here selling stuff on ebay, whether it was spare stuff or stuff they bought to sell. Its up to each individual to decide what they want to do with their purchases, and everyone has had the same opportunity to purchase stock as it has arisen and they have paid the same money as we all have. Many I think have done it to try and fund the cost of the items they cannot get a hold of and so are having to resort to ebay themselves or to try and make something toward the money they've spent on their own individual items for their children - as we all know, it is very expensive and a lot of people just don't have that sort of money to spend, but still want their children to have what is on their lists to santa. So we should not pick on one individual person, who by the looks of it is a very good seller with over 1000 stars and a 100% feedback rating and that is hard to achieve. I'm sure that person has actually posted before saying they sell things on ebay so they haven't tried to pretend they don't.

I agree with you Maxi - I was desperate a few weeks ago and paid £24 including postage for my first hamster. Thankfully since then, I've had lots of help from everyone here and have managed to get another Hamster and a House. There will always be unsavoury sellers but I suggest that a few may be ordinary people trying to make up on the outlays they have had to pay so far.
  • yes but when they are selling 4 hamsters and there are people that can't even get 1 hamster for below £20.00, buying 4 and then selling them is just damn selfish, as there are children out there that won't get what they want for xmas because there parents can't even buy 1, never mind 4!!! My daughter really wants one and that is all she wants, and I cannot locate any anywhere unless I spend well over the odds on ebay, it just doesn't seem fair. rant over

I have a spare house and car, am thinking about ebaying them to pay for slide and wheel (which I can't get anywhere, apart fom ebay) I have offered them for swaps first though :)
even though I have finished my hamster hunt, I am still here.... why?? :rotfl:
Have Mr Squiggles, Numsnums, chunk, pipsqueak, Patches, funhouse, ball, surfboard/sleep dome, skateboard, car, slide, wheel, 1 carrier and 2 homemade beds, need 1 carrier
  • Do I have to own up that I sold a house on ebay today?!! I also had to buy the hammy and ball that I have for my granddaughter on there as I work full time and had totally lost evenings on this thread and, much as I love you guys and what you write I couldn't carry on like that. With the profit I made on the house it brings the other stuff down to the equivalent of just over rrp. I did feel a bit mean about the price paid for it though, so I gave a little back. Please give us non business ebayers a bit of a break. However, if anyone is getting rrp swaps from other MSErs and then selling..... that's a different matter. Just my 2p worth x

Yes Maxi I understand the motives but dont come on here and make out you're searching for stuff for your kids. THAt is the bad thing in my view.
