Going to have to sign off now for today speak to you all tomorrow. Good luck!
  • The authentic ball should have a small piece which weights the hamster in the ball.

Apparantly you must not lose this piece or the hamster will just fall upside down inside the ball and that is why pet shop balls are not suitable.

I don't know this for sure, I am repeating what another poster on here mentioned. It may have been maxi mouse.

hmmm would make sense but the only other thing in the box was the small nobbly ball that it pushes around in the fun house  i'll have another look tomorrow me thinks :rotfl:

  • This is my first post, though I've been browsing the forum for ages. Thanx for the assistance you've given me, I got 2 hamsters from Wilkinsonplus last night, if they arrive, that is. Just a question - is the surfboard any use without the house? Just wondering for the benefit of the person who has ended up with a surfboard instead of a ball and is hoping to convince their daughter that it's going to be better. I tested out Num nums in my ball tonight (after checking it was a ball in the box), the stabiliser is pretty naff as it keeps falling off but it was still great fun, once we'd got it together right. Anybody know where I can get a slide from, please? I live near Stourbridge, West Midlands and when I phone my local Asda stores they haven't a clue what I'm talking about!!!
I'm looking for a good deal on an ipad and an ipod for christmas 2013 :j

omg, so sorry to hear people havent got the balls and they are in the wrong boxes! i too have a ball that i got from MOE, i just cracked mine open and it is actually the ball thankfully, but did notice that the ball is just a smooth ball on the inside, nothing special about it, surely those cheap one with the toy hamsters in would work?! i am gonna buy one and see

I've been wondering that too... I need to pick up some bits for our rabbit this week so I might just pick up a real hamster ball and give it a go... Can always return it, not like Mr Squiggles is gonna make it dirty :D

i have a real hamster ball already and the fact it has ridges and grooves in it wouldnt work, but the go go one is smooth.....and apparently there is a stabiliser, there was bound to be something to stop us saving our pennies :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Let everyone know how you get on! - if a normal ball does a half way decent job it sounds appealing!

At this rate my Mr Squiggles and Chunk may just have to get a bit tipsy on christmas day and fall over and not work properly in a normal hammy ball :D

Argos Aberdeen Portlethenis showing over 5 Left to Collect people!

Either everyone missed this in the Ebay argument or Portlethenis is in the back of beyond and no one wants to treck there as still more than 5 Left to collect lol.

I thought it was nr fraserburgh but seems its 1.5 hours away and seems a bit harsh to get my older great uncle to do a 3 hour round trip for me :D
  • ah just saw the two posts mentioning a weight in the ball, mmmn that would make sense
Keep trying to tell myself that the girls dont 'need' a ball and can wait til dd2's birthday at end of jan but I cant stop myself looking

Ae we ever gonna cure ourselves of this
