Just to lighten the mood.... a bad joke...

What did the mother hamster say to her children when they asked for a bedtime story?

    I have no tail...

When I went to my bed last night all I could think about was musical hits for hammies ie Hamster top ten so to lighten things up this is what I came up with before I fell asleep...........

Wake me up before you GOGO, wham
Hammy Time, you can't touch this. (not quite correct but hey ho made myself laugh)
I go driving in my car

And then it kinda dried up, but I am sure there is plenty more to be had.

I used to be a big fan of the Go Go's in the 80's :) After all this hammie hunting I will need a VACATION!!!!

I haven't opened the box yet as I only narrowly missed DD seeing it.....did seem to be an odd-shaped box for a ball though, I'm presuming the ball isn't put together at the moment otherwise I've got a squashed one!

The ball is in 2 halves. I checked mine last night.
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A

I got a list of recent places that Character supplied large orders to.

They are the usual suspects, bu there are a couple of places (High St) that I don't recall mentioned :

    TJ Hughes and
Alworths (NOT Woolworths - Company Opening/Opened a few stores in old Woolworths premises)

I have neither of these near me but I hope those of you who do have some luck :) xx
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

Well said someone was quite rude to me yesterday and it really put me about. I aways said I would never be one of those Mums that started fighting over the latest toy!! Whos up for some pushing and shoving!!!!!! lol.

Im on the hunt in South Yorkshire today so Ill keep you posted.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It is quite ironic that you say that. I have noticed more and more this year that people are being more rude in the shops. Manners cost nothing. One of the reasons I prefer to shop online!!

  • When stock is found it might be better to pm people who are looking for hamsters rather than posting it? That might be tricky I know but my guess is we have a lot of lurkers who dont want the hamsters for themselves, but to resell on ebay for profit.
Desperately seeking [STRIKE]Mr. Squiggles,[/STRIKE] car and garage, [STRIKE]surf board, ball, funhouse,[/STRIKE] wheel, slide and pet carrier :rotfl:

T J Hughes obviously not listed yet as inputting go go hamster brings up some perfume rather bizarrely!
Alworths doesn't seem to have come into existence yet online although they were supposed to be launching on November 5th. Suspect legal problems over use of the name. So that stock may well be sitting there till after Christmas.
