shouted at 2 people from mail order. It's not their fault but the computers- the computer made them tell me 3 different stories then?!?! If they didnt have stock they shouldn't have left my account with a pending transaction. Have insisted they send an email ensuring no money will be taken and order is cancelled. I appreciate the system let them down but why tell so many conflicting stories? BAD customer service yet again

That's pants! - I ordered on Friday and though they have sent me a dispatch email this morning I won't believe it until they deliver!

Kicking myself for using mail order express again as I had problems with them last year (and as you say their CS is rubbish) - vowed never to order again - just got fed up with waiting for a ball at RRP

If you've had a dispatch email you should be fine, my order arrived from Mail Order Express a few hours ago, all present and accounted for.

Hi Jellyhead, what did you order?

just 2 hammies for her and 1 for me.

My husband's just come home and says they have a list of names of people wanting hammies in the toyshop in town. The toyshop might refund me without a receipt if they know they can resell them - argos did that one year with a remote control dalek :rotfl:

My two were watching a film clip for the Hammies on Youtube where the kids had 3/4's of the set. Their comment was "Wow they're lucky aren't they mummy". I've told them I can't find the stuff anywhere and Father Xmas is bound to struggle as well - so hopefully they will be pleased.

(My kids have been brought up to understand that i do have to pay Santa for these pressies - apart from stocking fillers - I don't want them thinking Xmas is free you know!!)
My 5 year old thinks you get a few pressies from santa and then the others are from family friends etc so only puts a few things down on list to santa - we then pick up on what she likes and is interested in so she gets some little surprises from us that she hasn't asked for - seems to work well and it also means she understands when we go xmas shopping for pressies for cousins etc.
  • Go go go - Toymaster Sunderland - houses an hour ago, Wilkinsons Sunderland add-ons surf , balls and sleepdome about 20 mins ago.

    EDIT
Whoops so excited, meant sk8boards, balls and surf /sleepdomes
    :D

i tried telling my 7 year old that, but bless him, he cant understand that, he was petrified last year about santa breaking into our house, took hours of calming down after he asked how santa was going to get here as we have no chimney and me saying he has a special key

My eldest is 7 and i don't think he will believe much longer. He has also been told that Santa only gets kids pressies and not all of them as parents shop as well. I never really thought about it when i was younger but kids seem more savvy now. We do not have chinmey either (and my eldest knows he wouldn't fit down it!) so i just say he uses Magic.
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A
  • Yay ...my MOE order came through - got the dome now!!! just a Mr S and the ball to find now!! thanks to all on here.

That happened to me a few years ago with my daughter she was devastated that we didnt have a chimney and thought she would get no presents but i managed to buy a special santa key that we leave outside for him. I also tell her we have 2 send money to santa then he buys what he can out of it.
