For people who ordered from character online on thursday I've just received my two bed and blankets. Really pleased cos I managed to get them in the colours my girls wanted too. I've just ordered a skateboard from kiddimax. It was more than I wanted to pay but I'm getting bored of ringing places up now :rolleyes:

Be careful how long you wait ... the only new stock coming into the country before Christmas is believed to be the playsets (NO ADD ON SETS) ... so the balls, surfboard and skateboard should come back in

Possibly more fun houses.

But nothing else is expected ... that's straight from the e-commerce manager at Character.

Of course, it is possible that could change if factories can syep up, but that looks very unlikely at this late stage.

It could be a case of pay High Prices now or your choice of even higher prices later or go without until the new year when stock and prices stabilise again.

I have managed to get 2 car and garages set from littlewoods although it says delivery the 4th december:rolleyes: if you spend over £25 for the first customer you get a £15 off coupon which takes the two cars and garages to £21, they are priced at £!5 on the character website and no postage so £11 each therefore cheaper, so far the character 2 deluxe gift sets were free postage and the right price, 2 argos hamsters picking up for free postage from argos and then littlewoods, so really happy to report that so far have not spent any more of hyped prices or postage, the kiddi one found a coupon that takes 6% off which is 83p but the postage is £3.99 and the skateboard is £3.49 more than elsewhere so in total costing me £6.95 more for the same thing so leaving that one for the mo until I get absolutely unbelievably desperate and then we shall see, ringing toysrus to see if they have any in stock....

Would you believe it. Just got an update from Character in the last minute after posting :

Hi Lizdav,

I think we have around 300 Fun Houses left. We will be doing a stock check later today to count exactly how many left.

We are getting deliveries of the following in November:

Funhouse (2 deliveries, both due on 20/11)
Playsets (2 deliveries, both due 20/11)
Hamsters (3 deliveries, 20/11, 23/11, 30/11)

All of these deliveries will see stock for wider distribution, and we will also be receiving stock for the website.

So after today's listing, Character may only be able to put out funhouses on another couple of days (they are putting 100 or so to the web each day).

From this, you will see that the addons (Car, Slide, Wheel) will be like gold dust this Christmas whereas if you monitor stock at Character then you have a chance of the other playsets ... if you can get hold of nothing else, then you probably ought to locate the add ons using local independents or stock checkers or whatever else you can think of ... there will be no more accessories or playsets before Christmas.
