I just tried to get on and cant - only wanted to have a look as not seen that site before!!!

It is horrendously slow but you can usually get an order through with patience...

  • Yep keep trying, it wasn't brilliant when I got them but I got through eventually! Plus they are the only things I have been actually able to get so far (only been looking a few weeks). I have nearly got a couple of hamsters twice but lost them both after the site crashed and were removed from my basket.. and were then out of stock (obviously). Don't give up!

they've put their prices up then, they've always listed them as £6.99 previously and even that's £2.00 more than rrp.

Yep, the beds / carriers were 6.99 when they did that mega listing a few weeks ago then they hiked their prices up a bit after that.

  • I'm so dissappointed in these hamsters :( We gave them to our daughters for their birthday, and one immediately broke, you can hear the motor screaming inside it, but the wheels don't turn. This was on Wednesday, and the other is now sounding like it's on its way out already. Husband is saying we should just take them back for a refund, as we won't be able to exchange them now, but I paid nearly £20 for two of the little carriers that would be no good without them! Not sure what to do. Have emailed Character about the broken one, but the other isn't sounding too good either.

Oh that doesn't sound good. I'm sorry you're having this trouble.

I guess that is the only downside to anyone getting them off ebay (like me!) - but I guess if it happens to me then i will bite the bullet and replace then after Xmas when there are loads on the shelves again!! After the money i have paid out on the house and add ons I won't be giving in that easily.

I do know someone whose daughter has had one since September and hers is fine.
