You were very negative yesterday. What I said stands. I don't mind going on a waiting list for stock if they say "stock is on it's way and will be here before X date" as they usually do. But to take an order of an item that is "in stock" and then email you with this "Your Play.com order ******** - Go Go Hamster: Hamster Wheel Add On Playset (TOYS) is no longer available" is bang out of order. ESPECIALLY when you have been assured over the phone that stock has been allocated to your order and will be despatched within 24 hours.
this is the first time I have ever been in this situation. I used to use play all the time, but their blatant disregard for their customers has finished it. I have cancelled the order, plus another £645 worth of orders with them, and am in the process of reordering my other stuff with other suppliers.
If I don't get a wheel, I don't get one. I am not gonna cry and throw a strop. And neither is my daughter.

but my post wasnt negitive it was positive in the way it was giving people information about non existant stock which is partly what this forum is about giving people info on available stock or unavailable stock and at the end of the day as your post points out i was right
just a suggestion not to jump down some ones throat when they are just trying to help!!

Which particular part of that sentence says to you that they will get stock before Christmas? Is it the "no longer available" part?

the hamsters themselves don't seem to be a problem anymore adammccance. At least I dont think so. It's the bloomin add on's ! lol
on the play.com note, I suggest anyone who has ANYTHING on back order with them, email them at [EMAIL="customercare@play.com"]customercare@play.com[/EMAIL] and ask what the situation is. They won't tell you they are not getting any more stock in unless you ask. You are better off finding out for sure rather than keeping them "just in case":xmastree:0
