Youll find that even though you have thousands of photos, they dont take up THAT much room

Put them into folders 4.35 Gig in size (Single density dvd sized) and burn them with IMGBURN

I use these discs personally ~

    never had one fail yet
But bear in mind that if your drives over 3 years old it MIGHT be restricted to dvdr+ OR dvdr-

Yup one way to start tracking down where all your space has gone is to open 'My Computer' and start drilling down from your C drive root directory right clicking on folders (or a number of folders selected together) and viewing their 'properties' to see how big individual folders and groups of folders actually are

If you have a big folder that seems to contain very little looking for hidden files might be the answer.

I'd suggest just using this for information first and not running off deleting anything but should tell you if "program X" you thought was small is actually taking up half your disk space... if you have one/two video files saved as very very very high quality/resolution that's not made much difference to viewing quality but made the file huge, weather your windows folder is 3x the size it should be and a big folder called 'Temporary Internet Files" is taking all your space.

Again don't delete anything if you don;t know what it is from here -there are safer ways to uninstall stuff from windows front end menu's

Also be careful not to accidently move/drag/drop and folders when you're havign a nose around as hiding an important file somewhere it shouldn't be can be just as bad as deleting it....
