to save gas have heating on low throughout the day rather than high for short periods, you get a lovely ambient temperature and it's cheaper/same cost as it's heating up the water in first place that's most expensive doesn't cost too much to just keep it hot0

Heat the main room you sit in and lower the temperature of the rest of the house by a few degrees0

On Friday night, get arrested for being drunk and disorderly. You will be kept in the cells overnight, saving on heating at home.0

Sorry to resurrect this thread but i was just wondering about money saving now that I've started to use my heating.
I have a newish boiler and newish rads. They all have thermostat controls on them, I have turned off the rads in my 2 spare bedrooms and dining room as I rarely use them but does this make much difference to how much gas I will be using?
The rad in my kitchen is always kept on the lowest heat setting as the kitchen gets quite hot with the oven being on etc, but the rad still gets really hot, I can't feel any difference when I switch it to the highest setting compared to the lowest!
Hope my question makes senses!
Thanks

Plug an extension into the lamp post outside, then run the power around the house.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Turn right down radiators in the rooms that you are not using, ie, spare bedrooms etc and close the door so that heat from areas your using doesn't escape.
Only have one lamp on in your living room at night and let your TV be your other source of light!!
Dont know if that will help anyone, but thought i'd throw them in there!! he he0
