..... the financial world still spins outside London. Just that London is a "must have" office for a multi national to be seen as serious.

Will that tradition still hold? who knows. But their is nothing special about London's financial hub status, it could easily just all be moved to say "Birmingham" or another country.
It only takes a reason to do so.

The SE is as misunderstood as much as the SE misunderstands the rest of the country. :)

i agree with all of that too. :)

Bearing in mind I work less than 200 yards away from where one of his victims was found should I be a worried man?

I don't yet, but times are hard.;)

I live round the corner from where Catherine Eddowes was born & grew up (in Wolverhampton). Which victim are you nearby robing if you don't mind me asking?

PS there is a lot of debate as to the actual number of victims. Philip Sugden puts it best by saying there were "at least 3, probably 4, no more than 8".

There is a lot of debate regarding whether Elizabeth Stride was actually being a ripper victim.

    Leave Monky alone.

He's feeling a little envious today, if he worked for a Broker he could afford to move 'upmarket' and commute into Liverpool Street instead of Fenchurch !!!!

Anyway you see some bewildered looking Japanese tourists staring at the ground near Aldgate bus station kind of expecting more.
