Its the boyfs birthday in september and obv dont have much money but I was going to try and put some money away each month to take us both on holiday in 2008 to New York, I know its a long time off but he'll of finished uni then and maybe we can put money into a seperate account instead of birthday and xmas presents etc.
I didnt know if I was being foolish trying to do this whilst paying off the debts as well though? What do we think peeps?
I'd go with ZTD here, just throw random bits of money aside now and again and concentrate on your debts. That way you're doing both - getting DF and saving for holidayDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

my theory was to try and get the debts down, quicker than nov 2009 (if I can help it!), but hopefully put maybe like £20 to £30 aside a month (hopefully), sometimes less sometimes more, obviously if I got a new job it would be a lot easier with a higher wage!
Got a nice starting block with the coin pots, obviously I've only been spending my £1 and 50p coins by the looks of it lol!but thats a start
I guess I just need something to motivate me thats got more of an achievement at the end of it if that makes sense? Could just be me being strange!
Have just been having a look around at things I can sell on ebay too, got quite a few dvd's that I think I could get rid of, hopefully! They were all bought at reduced prices, so even if I got say £3-£5 each I'd be pretty happy. Have also got some box sets that I think I could get around £10 each for, so that would be a really big help!
Might spend an evening this week listing them, first must see if theyre likely to sell, otherwise I'll just be losing money on listing them
Hmmmmmmmm what else to do?!
Feel like since the holiday idea I've given myself a great big kick up the rear, or maybe the effects of the tablets are finally starting to get out of my systemwoohoo

Don't try for me. Try for you. You're more important. I'm just a nag.CAFCGirl wrote:and no it wasnt a megative thought, it was highly realistic, I am (sometimes) stupid.
As indeed is everyone. But there are enough people out there who will call you nasty names for no reason whatsoever without you joining them.
Besides, it didn't look like stupidity to me, just a marked reluctance to use the search facility.CAFCGirl wrote:DFD I worked out as Nov 2009, darn, I want it closer!!!!

Seems like a good idea. I have boxsets I could probably sell, but I'm not gonna!

But shhhhh don't tell anyone
Trying to be a bit more positive, found some lost post this morning from yesterday from my employer.
To say theyve rearranged my disciplinary for this thursday, they can either do store, home or other suitable location if I'm not well.
And added that I've been on and off work for a month now due to depression and they'd like to know if theres anything they can do to aid my recovery, and that the disciplinary probably isnt helping so they'd like to clear that up as soon as possible for me. How nice of them lol
Trying to be ok about going back, just not looking forward to explaining to manager why I wasnt there last week but I'm hoping she'll be nice about it. Ah well............
Still hoping for the interview to pay off, maybe get a call tomorrow, if not will continue looking!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Awww purple, you missed all the excitement!
Hasnt been great to be honest. Have been really ill for past couple of weeks, got prescribed anti-d's but couldnt cope with side effects so I'm going to go over to homeopathic.
Had 2 interviews for one job, but havent heard, was supposed to hear end of week so chances are no go there but still hopeful till I get a definite no-no
Desperately trying to make self feel and look better, had a rough ride past couple of weeks, boyf has just gone back home, so was nice to see him but I wasnt really with it!
But hopefully now I'm on the up!
How was your holiday anyways?>Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

So the plan for this week is:
1) Lunch to work each day
2) Job hunt
3) Disciplinary out of the way! Thursday!!!
4) List DVD box sets on ebay
5) Letter to Barclay cancel insurance policy
6) Pay £30 off credit card 1
7) Pay in change bags to Halifax account (holiday fund) Thursday
8) Eat contents of house and home!
9) £15 budget for week
10) Buy St.Johns Wort as anti-d's aren't agreeing
Hmmmmmm should be easily achievable!
Tally Ho and good luck all!
Right thats my goals for this week and under no circumstances do I want to be failing on any of them!Wealth is not measured by currency0
