Quite the opposite, the regulars on the printable coupons thread went to great lengths to point out where a coupon would not be acceptable to Tesco and we removed links where there were issues. Tesco had a policy to allow such coupon-use (clearly stating which coupons were OK) and on the MSE thread most of us took heed of the policy and stuck to it very carefully.
The thread in question was very friendly and the info about acceptable coupons was there until recently if any of you had wanted to shop this way (legitimately).
That's what moneysaving is all about, making the best savings you can, within the policies and offers that each store allows. That's what we did, cootambear included. Tesco did very, very well out of this policy for many years, they didn't lose out by any means.
Unfortunately, some idiots who didn't care what was and what wasn't acceptable under Tesco coupon policy did scam some unsuspecting stores in the West Midlands with high-value coupons that Tesco could not have reclaimed the money back on. It was a very, very large-scale fraud (duplicated coupons where the ID number was identical) by all accounts and that was the end of the coupon policy.
So I won't be buying the coat - but many thanks to the OP for posting about it. Useful info for those of you whose shopping habits are unaffected by the policy change.
Every coupon I have seen says must be used against the product, I can read so thats enough for me.
Anyway this thread isn't about coupons it's about a coat that the original poster kindly wanted to inform the forum of for which I and most normal shoppers thank them.
Perhaps the propagana could go elsewhere rather than trying to make Tesco shoppers or tescum as I have seen us referred to on your thread can be left in peace to enjoy their bargains.0 -

You know perfectly well that Tescum refers to Tesco, not shoppers. I guess if you can`t refute an argument, distort it and then try to argue against that?
This section of the thread began when coupon use/users (promoted if you weren`t aware by Martin on GMTV) were referred to as `scammers`.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

I'm not sure what argument I am supposed to be trying to refute ?
This post is about getting a bargain at Tesco that apparently you now call Tescum, apologies didnt read your thread in too much detail.
Martin didn't ruin it anyway, it was scammers that ruinied it. I'm not sure what you are doing on this thread if you dont want a ladys coat. I thought you were now all busy scamming Waitrose until they wise-up as well.0 -

I never said Martin ruined it, I do wish you would stop distorting what I`m saying.
I pointed out that Martin promoted couponing on GMTV, which he presumably wouldn`t have done if he thought it was a `scam`.
I don`t go to Waitrose btw, like Tescum they are too expensive.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

Another one that want to jump down the throats of those of us who want a coat at a bargain price.
As said by janiebaby it IS freedom of choice where people want to shop.
Think a few people have too much time on their hands now they cant shop for free at Tesco. So nice not to have people in front of you handing over disparate bits of paper and selfishly holding up everyone. Think I might write to Tesco and congratulate them on their new policy.0 -

As you well know I said `please consider`, not `you must`. I am sorry, I am used to discussions where the parties take reponsibility for their viewpoints like adults, rather than childishly distorting others. I`ll not waste any more of my time here.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).
