People are probably boycotting due to the now correct policy with coupons in that you may only use a coupon if you purchase the item.

Money saving is about purchasing a product for the best value.

I for one won't be telling my wife about this because she will see this as good money saving, a coat for a tenner. That is so cheap but not money saving if you don't need it. My wife has loads of coats

TBH this doesn't sound terribly wrong of Tesco's to me - but then again I didn't realise that they accepted coupons when the item hadn't been purchased in the store anyway :)

I am guessing many people would previously have been spending their lives cutting out/collecting coupons in the past to spend towards their shopping in Tesco's - I don't have time for that anyway so I won't boycott on the basis that they have stopped the practice of accepting the vouchers.

This is a lovely coat but like rmanpaul's wife I have lots of coats! :)

  • Picked up this coat this morning thinking it would be great (the one the op is talking about) put it straight back down again - it felt like felt! Not sure how well this one will wear, or how warm it will be!

On the upside, if you are looking for a cheap winter coat then it relaly does look great!

Many struggling families had come to rely on them to eke out their meagre incomes. Nothing lasts forever of course, but thats why they did it.

I`m sure some millionaires probably did it too, being millionaires they don`t like to pay for anything, especially they don`t pay tax, but I`m sure they were in the minority.
