    You are somehow creating a keycode that is telling Windows to launch the Media Player and you don't have it installed (or at least not the latest version). It is all part and parcel of your keyboard problem.

    Try to borrow a keyboard to confirm it or just take a trip to your local supermarket and buy one - you could probably pick up for next to nothing (around £5) or you could go to PC World and spend £30 instead.

    In the short term, you should have a virtual (mouse operated) keyboard in your Accessories>Accessibility folder (folder varies with OS)
