Sorry to butt in but just wondering; what was the toy sale like last year? Esp on big name brands like lego, playmobil & the TV/movie characters stuff.

Someone told me in one Boots store when they went 75% instore last year people were grabbing items as staff were carrying the stuff out, it got so bad that people were shoving staff to get to the items! I did my shopping online avoiding the rush got my order through early hours of the morning on the 14th. :)
  • i had to go back to the store 3 times to get more bargains, it becomes obsessive, but have so many bargains and have been great presents all year and still have 3 crates of stuff left for xmas presents.
Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 2016

Yep thats what i read and heard too! In my local store in Lakeside shopping centre a couple of ladies had gone to M&S got a trolley each and brought it into Boots to loads up with all the stuff with
In another store my friend went to get some bits and she didnt get a look in as it was a small store and all the sale stuff was in 1 aisle so these ladies blocked a end each with their pushchairs so no one else could go down it or get pass so their friend emptied the shelfs!

I love a bargain but thats madness. Saying that i am going to venture out to the store for this sale so who knows when i am there  :D

  • Omg and swansea is a big branch too. I will do both get a order in online and also go to the shop early and see what happens. I will keep a look out for the date and set my alarm

 That's my new local :eek:
  • I too stayed up for a late night order but also ventured instore though not early and I think was the day after the sale starts, it was still v.busy and you literally couldn't put anything down you were interested in as people were literally grabbing anything I think some people really didn't care what they had bought it was just simply because it had 75% off.
I had two pre school children so it is hard going into store for this as the aisles are always so cramped so online is a lifesaver, I really hope this year though with my eldest being at nursery I can somehow get in on the first day of the 75% sale as it really does save so much money.
