Have you tried a limescale remover like Calgon or Limelite ?

Whatever you do don't use either of the above products, they are caustic and will etch the stone.

In what way was the granite treated when it was fitted?

Is the Blanco a composite similar to the ones that Carron make? If so you may find this advice useful:

I have heard T-Cut does the job.

Ok, is this real granite or a man made substitute?

Just for time being until we find out exactly what it is ignore the T-Cut and caustic material suggestions. I'm in the stone business, these products have a habit of wrecking what we install.

If it is real granite, do you have any idea what the name of the particular granite is?

If it's not real granite, what is the trade name of the product you have? Carronite, Fragonite, Corian, Silestone, Ceaserstone etc.

    Guys

I've tried dishwasher powder in water and its cleaned a lot of the grime and dirt off, especially in and around the actual sink itself, but theres a lot of actual limescale still on it, espcially on the drainer board part, any ideas?

    It looks disgusting

    Hi Glenbat,

It may be too late now as it looks like you have had the sink for nearly 3 years now. It looks like you have a Blanco Silgranite sink, if so Blanco do a specialist cleaner/conditioner for this material. You should be able to get it from a local kitchen specialist that sells Blanco sinks otherwise you should be able to get it direct from Blanco.

    Good luck

please tell me you talked to Alan M at the time. It's his living, he really knows his stuff.

Send him a pm as a backup as he still posts here but less regularly than I remember.

    Try Cif or white vinegar.
