The problem with claiming from Royal Mail though is that the buyer doesn't bother replying to them so you don't get your refund from them.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

The buyer has to tell Royal Mail it's not been received in order for the seller to receive a refund? Is this new?Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0

It's what happened last year when we had to refund a buyer £60 for WOW cards, we put a claim in then Royal Mail replied to say that the buyer hadn't filled in their form so they just had our word that it hadn't been received and wouldn't refund us.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Did you complain to the Ombudsman?0

Surely though if items were sent special delivery (as they were over £39 in value) you could prove item wasn't delivered as the RM system would show item received by RM and not delivered?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. In that case you wouldn't have had sufficient insurance anyway and some scammers do target newbie sellers who use the wrong postal service.
For future reference items over £39 must go special delivery to protect you against loss by RM.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Oh I know we wouldn't have got the full amount, but it drove us mad that the guy couldn't be bothered to tick a box and send the form back, we saw it as proof that he was a scammer.
I've split up with the ex who sold the cards anyway, so it's not an issue now!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Ah, good, well not good for you Ames, but had begun to panic then, have a handful of claims going through now on recorded items never signed for, was worried buyer would have to sign!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0
