Central heating fault anyone help?

Options
Basically i have a fairly normal gas central heating system
But i am having difficulty in getting the radiators to come on
There is a wireless thermostat for the heating downstairs and a wireless thermostat on the hot water tank
When i select the heating on the control panel there is demand showing as a flame on the downstairs thermostat but boiler does not fire up and hence no heat in the radiators. But if i select heating on the control panel and then go upstairs and increase the temperature on the hot water tank thermostat say from 60 to 65 the boiler fires up and i get heat to the radiatiors
Anyone able to help with this?

details please. type of boiler regular or system and make.
Does the roomstat work when you get the heating on? Does it control the temp or has it lost contact with the reciecer.
Check the 2 or 3 port valve is the motor switching over from hot water to heating?

boiler is a glow-worm flexicom hx

i have been having a play to try and fix the problem

and i think that the room thermostat may not of been correctly linked with the receiver

i think that the tank thermostat was linked to both receivers

i have been through the learn mode for the room thermostat and i think that all seems to be working now
