yeah i suppose but then you have to look at this way...mostly they would have plenty if people didnt keep going back for more...ok not all the time but mostly.
it just seems to be that we all want to save money (which of course is logical) but how many people go and buy all these things make repeat trips etc on stuff they would never normally buy are only buying because its a deal when in fact they feel like theyre saving money when in reality they arent lol
some people wouldve gone and bought say the scampi just and only because it was on offer..isnt that defeating the object?
i mean we dont ever buy pepsi...because we dont drink it however we are having a party and are planning in advance for that...however if we werent we wouldnt have bought it just because it was on offer...iykwim0 -

You're right, but just because people don't usually buy pepsi it doesn't mean they aren't saving money buy buying it now.
Suppose a family buys 3 bottles of a cheaper coke (own brand) per week and usually pay 78p per bottle. They may prefer pepsi but can't really afford it, so go for the cheaper version. Then pepsi is reduced to 53p per bottle, so buying pepsi is now saving them money, even though they don't usually buy t.some people wouldve gone and bought say the scampi just and only because it was on offer..isnt that defeating the object?
Same here, they may never buy scampi because it is too expensive, but when it is on offer they buy it in place of something else. So they may be saving money, or eating something they normally couldn't afford for not much more than the pie they would normally eat with their chips.i mean we dont ever buy pepsi...because we dont drink it however we are having a party and are planning in advance for that...however if we werent we wouldnt have bought it just because it was on offer...iykwim
Yes I do see what you mean. It would be stupid to buy something you have no use for. I hate scampi and would not accept it even if they were giving it away free.
One thing to remember also, Morrison's aren't just selling Pepsi cheap for the benefit of the people who buy it anyway. They are also doing it to encourage people who never buy it to give it a try, and maybe like it and continue to buy it after the offer.0 -
very valid points..i know what youre getting at too...it just bugs me sometimes when i see people 'abusing'... maybe for want of a better word..a deal to the point of being very greedy.
i mean come on seriously...48 bottles of pepsi....maybe do it once but each to do it 4 times to me that seems greedy....i dread to think what their insides must look like...or their wee for that matter0 -

also to get people into their stores who hopefully would buy some other things, that would normally not, although that is not always the case;)Take every day as it comes!!0 -

I can't argue with that, it does seem a bit ott.
Then again, if the offer had been on Newcastle Brown Ale I would have bought 48 bottles and got another 96 free0 -
some people just abuse these offers - I can understand the limit is there to ensure as many people get the opportunity to buy the offers as possible.
When asda had their offer on tins of quality street etc (2 for £7.50) I bought two but the cashier told me that someone had come in that day and bought 200 tins(apparantly he told them they were for his employees)! As they didn't have a sign up limiting the amount there was nothing they could do but as a result of this a fair few people would have missed out!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
£1.99 is a hyper-inflated price for Pringles.
This is really a 3-for-the-normal-price-of-2 offer.
I'm not saying it's a bad deal, just highlighting the mendacity.:eek::eek:0 -
Can anyone tell me which Pringles are £1.45? So far all the flavours I've bought have been £1.99, and I'm in agreement that that is an over inflated price. I don't recall them being that expensive before.Come ride with me, through the veins of history...

I also agree with the poster who says the prices are inflated, 54p for an extra 10g of crisps? :eek:Dum Spiro Spero0
