3 FOR 1 deal on Pringles, Pepsi & more at Morrisons

Buy 1 get 2 Free on Pringles 65g is not the deal it seems to be.
55g of Pringles on the shelf in Morrison's only cost £1.45, so how can the cost of 65g be £1.99? (if you do the maths they should be only £1.54!). So in effect, yes you are saving a bit (about 15p per pack) but the price for the 65g is over-inflated! (as I think retaliers do with many 'deals')
Also forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't Pringles win the case for being classified as 'a biscuit', so there is no VAT to pay, so the price should have gone down? The price of Pringles seems to have been creeping up for a while.[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0 -
Wasn't that Jaffa Cakes
Yes Jaffa cakes had a fight too, but it was also Pringles
I can't post the link - but they won the case as have only only 42% potato content and it's made from dough, so they are more like a cake than biscuit, so Pringles can be sold VAT-free
Anyway, it's still better value to buy 225g of Doritos (reduced from £1.49 to £1 in Morrisons) than it is to buy 3 packs of over-inflated price Pringles - at £1.99 for 195g! I think that makes the Doritos half the price of the 'bargain' Pringles!0 -

From the OP; -
"Pringles £1.99: (All varieties, excludes Select, Rice and Xtreme)165g"Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
You're right my maths is rubbish - it is 165g - so the Pringles are slightly better value than Doritos!
However I still don't see why 155g of Pringles is £1.45 and they claim 165g is £1.99 - I still think they have over-inflated the price at £1.99! it should only be about £1.54, if based on weight (and that doesn't even take into account that a proportion of base cost is packaging)0 -
lol omg i had no idea about the pringles biscuit thing, how strange!!0

We went last night and bought 48 bottles, me and my OH just bought six each and went in and out 4 times and dumped our purchases in the car, we did use different tills but it really was easy. That will last us til Christmas and has saved me a fair few quid. Pepsi Max 2litre for 53p a bottle is just too good to miss.0

i'm sorry but that is ridiculous..its 6 per customer for a reason and dont think it is really acceptable to go in and out etc ...there are people who miss out on bargains because of 'greedy' people...i thought this site was about sharing money saving tips so that more people can take advantage of an offer etc.
we went in the other day and stocked up on some bits for xmas and a bday party...we couldve easily each gone in and got some ie 12 of each but we didnt because we think its unfair.
i think its fair enough and money saving to take advantage of an offer but abuse it..thats not fair.
sorry if i appear harsh or rude that isnt my intention but as my opinion i am entitled to voice (hopefully without any abuse in return!)0 -

I agree with you, up to a point. But it's only unfair if they run out and some people can't get any. If they have plenty and every body who want's some gets what they want, then is it really unfair to get more than 6 ?0
