hi all

have had a couple of small diaries on here before but seem to have lost track with them a bit so thought i would start a new one to kick me into action.

small bit of info in my early 30's been married (very brief) and currently live in small house with cat and have a new partner who is very lovely. Debt has built up a bit over the last few years and dont really have a lot to show for it.
i am now ready to hit it with avengence and clear it as soon as possible i am also on the weight loss and fitness plan as well as i really cant keep putting it off..........party dress by xmas hopefully.

my head is firmly set into MS gear now and i know i will get there just need to remain positive. have written many lists of things to do and will update them on here soon.

look foward to hearing from all you lovely people and hopefully we can keep each other motivated and on track........and i pledge to update my diary every day!!!!

debt free here i come ready or not.

main aims to be completed by end of this year.

    * pay off all of capital one cc
*lose 1 stone in weight (just about doable i think)
*clear out wardarobe and list lots of things on ebay
*start the new year with a 4 as my begining debt total

i think they are the main bits but already have many other things floating round in my head.

also trying to spread the cost of xmas this year so have started early and i think i have covered about 5 out of 11 people so far......so on the look out for any xmas idea bargins for the rest.:xmastree:

i have also started 3 saving pots of £2 coins Silver and coppers so hoping they will be full by xmas so can pay onto second cc in the new year.

well done with it all. You sound like you have a similar debt to me and weight loss goals too! I'll subscribe to your thread and cheer you on if you like!!

Hope the wobble doesn't last too long, breaking it down into doable chunks seems a good way to go.

well ww not as bad as i thought put on a pound after a two week holiday so can deal with that (thought it would be way more!!)

am having small stress moment as we have decided to move house so we can live together which is great and we will be renting a house from my parents which is good as not too much stress with that...........but need to buy stuff for the house as i only live in a tiny house for one so dont have very much, guess we can buy as we go but so nice to have it sorted out as soon as possible but will not put any more money on cc.

also my head is just going round all the things i need to change my address on and utilities i need to change and set up!!!!! aahhhh does any one have an easy to follow list handy?!?!?!?!?!

was having a big think this morning leading to me very nearly taking out a new loan to pay off everything and only have one payment!!!!!!! but after giving myself a bit of a talking to have managed to talk myself out of it as it would add another year onto paying off which is just stupid...........and this is what i have always done in the past so why i always have a loan.

have started a little book and written all the debt done and how much i can def pay each month which makes me feel a bit better seeing that by mar should have cleared most of the cc debt.

think i am just struggling with how long it will take and that it only changes at the end of the month so maybe should try the payment a day thing as it might keep me a bit more motivated if i am changing the total each day.

also added to cc with new bed so now have an extra 200 to pay taking me back to over 6000..........but will be getting half back from my oh so can just pay that straight off. then i think the cards are coming out of my purse and being hidden.

also really need to do some ebay as have loads of clothes and bags and shoes to sell just cant get into the ebay zone!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Jacey,

it's hard when it sits there at some big number that you can't just get rid of easily isn't it? I've found so far that little goals are helping. I've just managed to get my debt to below £6k overall and soon one of the credit cards will be in 3 figures rather than 4. Not sure what I'm aiming for after that, but hoping to attack the CC as best as I can.

Chin up and hope you find something that works for you.
