Good Afternoon Everyone
My husband has had his complaint upheld and a refund is to be made. However, Lloyds TSB have asked my hubby to sign an acceptance form without any mention of the refund amount. After speaking to the FOS, I have ranf Lloyds and informed them, that he is reluctant to sign the form without a figure. I am awaiting a call from the refund team this afternoon. However, I would be grateful if anyone could help me work out a rough calculation so that I am prepared. So information as follows:
Loan 1 taken out 22 July 2003 apr 11.33% Loan protection insurance
£2, 654.50 on a £12000 loan over 60mths
A second loan - refinanced on 24th Feb 2004 he was given a rebate of £1923.43 on the above
Loan 2 24.2.2004 apr 10.43% loan protection £3,249.05 on loan of £15000 over 60mths
A third loan refinaced 7th Nov 2006 he was given a rebate of £651.62
Third Loan no protection, apr 9.96% on £12400 due to be paid off 1st Dec 2009 whoppeeeee!!!!
LLoyds TSB mention two methods how they will calculate, but my head is pounding with a cold, so I would be very greatful for any suggestions on a refund amount.
Thanks in advance
Janey

Hi Janey
Well done on this to you and your hubby.:T:beer:
You done the right thing there, because otherwise this could be signed for an amount you will not be happy about, so good for you on taking this one a little further, you have every right to know the amounts and that they also send a full detailed written breakdown.
However, I am sore on calculations and I may be wrong, I'm sure someone will come along and take a look at them for you soon, good luck with this hun.;):beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thanks di3004 as always very supportive!! Just want this sorted, as mine is with the FOS. I think its a lottery with Lloyds as mine were the same reasons lol. Anyway, any advice on calculations greatly appreciated.0

Hi, everyone, a quick update! LTSB came back with a figure of £5275 yesteday for the above claim. Although its higher than I had thought, I'm not sure if it sounds right taking everything into consideration. It sounds like I am getting less interest on the last one.
Loan one £1982.11 this was on a balance of £731.07 interest of £1251.04
Loan two £3296.66 this was on a balance of £2353.77 interest of £942.89
Does this sound right?
Thanks in advance0 -

Hi hun and wow, that looks good, well done to you.:j:j
It is probably right, but you have the right to make sure on this, you could ask them to send you a detailed written breakdown on this as well for your records, I am hopefully at maths.....:o, but it looks right from what I can see, you can wait for others to have their say as well if you want to as well.;)
Well done and Congratulations.

Thanks Di3004 It is a good offer, its just the matter of interest that puzzles me, although a year apart, I seem to be offered more for the £730 than the one over £2000. Could just be me though?0

With pleasure hunni.
Funny enough, just found yet another agreement of when both me and hubby taken out a loan with lloyds in 2004, its the agreement where both our names are on the top, hubby's name first, then mine after, again he is protected and not me, we settled this loan at just under £14K with the PPI and the loan was for approx £10K, it shows the automated cross for protection and another part next to it, it shows a crossed automated "Premium advanced as partof the loan"......
This is yet another one to sort out.
Always best to double check hun, so ask them to send you the detailed breakdown, just in case.;):beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Yes, Di3004 you have to extremely careful with Lloyds Tsb, I am though finding its a case of the lottery, to whom is sucessful or not! I;m hoping there is a breakdown as that interest does not look right. Good luck with yours. Out of curiousity, how long did it take you with the FOS for your credit card misselling with LTSB?0

Yes your right hun, I totally agree with you, and thank you, good luck with yours as well.
If I remember is was about June last year it was first with the FOS, and it was finally resolved in Feb this year.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
