Janey, I just taken another look and the agreement states.
Non- cancellable LTSB Special offer loan.
I think that means that you cannot cancel the direct debit here and it was signed on premises so not cancellable. If you went into the branch and took this loan out it is actually classed as a non cancellable agreement with no cooling off period.
Cancellable and non-cancellable agreements
Consumer credit agreements regulated by the Consumer Credit Act can be cancellable or non-cancellable. Both kinds must be made in writing and provide specified information in the way set down in regulations. Rules also govern how and when you supply hirers with copies of agreements.
Cancellable agreements are those where face to face discussions are held with the customer about the credit arrangements or the goods or services being financed, but the customer does not sign the agreement on trade premises (this applies whether discussions are held with a creditor, credit broker or the supplier).
Agreements where there are no face-to face discussions, or which are signed on the trader's premises, are non-cancellable.
Agreements secured on land or for the purchase of land or bridging finance are also not cancellable (although if certain consumer credit agreements are secured on land, the debtor must be given an earlier opportunity to withdraw from it).
Cancellable agreements have a cooling-off period starting on the day the customer signs. This period is 14 days for goods bought from a mail-order catalogue. Otherwise, it is five days from the day the customer receives either a second copy of the agreement or a separate copy of a notice of cancellation rights. Cancellation places obligations on you and the customer.

With pleasure hunni.

Funny enough, just found yet another agreement of when both me and hubby taken out a loan with lloyds in 2004, its the agreement where both our names are on the top, hubby's name first, then mine after, again he is protected and not me, we settled this loan at just under £14K with the PPI and the loan was for approx £10K, it shows the automated cross for protection and another part next to it, it shows a crossed automated "Premium advanced as partof the loan"......
This is yet another one to sort out.

Always best to double check hun, so ask them to send you the detailed breakdown, just in case.;)

Di i would get this one into FOS if you are struggling now as this will be done and dusted quickly. I cannot see why the FOS don't deal with ALL Lloyds ones together. They did with my co-op ones and then its not all seperate complaints. They will do it that way????

Hi, everyone, a quick update! LTSB came back with a figure of £5275 yesteday for the above claim. Although its higher than I had thought, I'm not sure if it sounds right taking everything into consideration. It sounds like I am getting less interest on the last one.

Loan one £1982.11 this was on a balance of £731.07 interest of £1251.04

Loan two £3296.66 this was on a balance of £2353.77 interest of £942.89

Does this sound right?

Thanks in advance
Is this the statutory interest you are on about here? If it is you can work this out from the bank charges calculator here

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges

Its half way down the page and you just enter the amount you are having statutory interest on and the date from when you should have had it on and then click calculate. The interest on the older loan will be higher because it is interest since you settled but does seem a lot of interest and i can see what you mean.

Di, we are desperate for money now and if I had any more complaints that I could send in then I would but do not.

I cannot understand why the FOS who ruled on your others did not do them all together. It seems daft to be in need of money cause of debts and things when you have some due back (if you win that is and am sure you will if going by the others) with loans from Lloyds and especially when FOS is getting yours through priority anyway. I personally would not hesitate to get all my complaints in to ease the pressure moneywise. :confused:I wish ours could have been done priority to ease ours....

Yes I should have got on with them altogether, we do have 2 in with them now, and also trying to get on with the other non lloyds ones, its been doing my head in, lots been going on, and its only now I can put my mind to my claims out again, and dug it all back out, but now I do need to get them in, and done with.;)

Hi everyone I have used a few spreadsheets and would appreciate your thoughts on these calculations please.

OK, for Loan 1 LTSB intially quoted me £1982.11 last tues, then on Fri £1082.11 though nothing in writing as yet. I imputed the data and the raw figure before stat interest was

No. of Years5
Actual Costs (So far)Monthly Payment £ 321.11
Monthly PPI Int. £ 25.06 (B )
No. of Months Paid to Date6
PPI Interest Paid to date £ 150.38
Settlement (If applicable)Settlement Figure £ 11,759.96
PPI Kept by Lender £ 827.90
Settlement PPI Rebate £ 1,826.60
Actual Settlement £ 13,586.56
What should be refunded* £ 2,654.50

Then with interest £4295.77

Loan 2 was just about right what LLoyds quoted me £3296.66 with stat interest £5096.33
Please could anyone let me know if these look about right as I want to put these in writing and ask for immediate payment otherwise I will take legal action as its going on too long now and getting so much conflicting info from LTSB.

Thanks in advance everyone!!!
forumbox_top_left.gifforumbox_top_tile.gifforumbox_top_right.gifforumbox_left_tile.gifAre you letting your bank keep your money Are you giving away thousands of pounds??

Many people aren't claiming all of the money they are entitled to when they make their bank charges claims.

You have been forced to pay unfair bank charges.
Have you forgotten that your bank has charged you inteest on those charges?
If you are overdrawn and the bank owes you charges - then your overdraft is made up of charges - money which you bank owes you.
Yet you are paying interest to the bank - on your own money!!! - a nice little earner for your bank.

You might even double the size of your claim.

Thanks Di3004, first time I've done this and not quite sure, loan 1 looks higher than I thought, so would appreciate any experts out there looking at these for me. Thanks.
