As a M[STRIKE]n[/STRIKE]ewbie it would be a bit rich of me to welcome anyone back.

I am not so sure about that, welcome back. ;):)

Eh? The thread was created because she'd returned, not the other way around.

I was referring to this thread:

HelloWas a member for a while and can't remember my password. What has happened to this board? Where are all the regulars? Dithering Dad, Ad9898, Mr.Broderick, Generali? Gone to pot hasn't it?
    Humph, no-one missed me, then?!

As I said though, no doubt it was pure coincidence that NDG logged on for the first time in months and months and lo' and behold stumbled across a thread that mentioned posters currently MIA (missing in action).

Move along, no lurking going on here.... Nothing to see....

She didn't make a song and dance, she just quietly stopped posting one day and then just as quietly, started posting again.

No announcements, no histronics, no dramas.

I was referring to everyone else, it's like witnessing the second coming of Christ! :rotfl:

    Waaaay over the top, non?

Not really. Your simile is OTT, NDG is a highly respected and well liked poster. You seem to be jealous.

I don't think so. NDG has been very kind off forum to some people tooand she's a good egg.

I think you perhaps underestimate estimate how excited we as a group might be if Christ returned. I mean, have you noticed how manic a fractionnof a percent change in things can make us?

I used to like NGD when she posted before, although I never knew her personally.

I don't know what happened why she was away and I don't care, none of my business. Also far be it from me to say anything not fantastic about such a well liked poster etc etc, but the NDG we have today, isn't the same as the old. I hope the old one comes back sometime.

Not at all, what is there to be jealous of?
I'm just bemused by it all. This is just an internet forum after all, isn't it? Not some sort of religious cult?

That NDG is so clearly well liked and respected.

I don't understand why you have a problem with people welcoming back an old friend.

There isn't any religious element to it that I can see except your simile.
