    Yeah. I didn't really mean cakes as cakes, not in an old-style sense. I meant to use the cake as a tool to symbolise the struggle between rich and poor, as we the crumbs try to pick up the pieces of the rich man's walnut cake, and use them to smash the cistern.

    Er. Not on this thread obviously, where it is merely a device to illustrate the difference between posters in a simple yet accessible way.

    It must be a pretty stale, hard cake then....to stand up to any actual use as a tool. My cake is a nice squashy one. With candied orange on top and ricotta in the bottom.

    Incidently, the girls, including NDG, oftne used cake talk as a diversionary tactic when it got heated here. So, its kind of appropriate.

    It might be useful to picture MSE as a cake. Each poster is a different slice within that cake. Some slices have gone mouldy and are repellent to the taste. But occasionally a tasty piece comes along.

    Do I fall into that latter bracket?

    It's not for me to judge. There is a coven on here who will try your case on cashtrated, and then return with their report.

    I caught you knocking at my cellar door x
  • NDG was always posting at some silly time in the morning. She said that sleep was for wimps, if I remember!

    That's what my darling son thinks.
    ...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

    Did NDG do the kissy thing at the end of posts? I cant remember. I do however remember another poster who definately did.

    Under no circumstances do I:

    1. Fart in public;
    2. Use "x" at the end of a post;
    3. Use the word "hun" or similar;
    4. Go in for huggy-sessions.

    So if I'm suspected as posing as anyone else, remember I'm allergic to points 2 to 4 inclusive (-:
