What a palaver redeeming my free Hovis at Tesco!!!

I have only used coupons for what they intended for (too shy to do otherwise), but have read about the Tesco policies on here. Anyway took my Hovis voucher to Tesco last night to get my free bread. After packing over £100 worth of shopping into my trolley I hand the voucher over and the checkout women rudely asks if I have actually bought this I said yes. Then she made me show it to her so I had to dig through my entire shoppping to find it! Then she scanned it to see how much it was and deducted the price. She couldn't check the receipt because it prints out at the end of the checkout for the customer to take and she could reach it. Very annoying. Whats more she then insisted on explaining the entire policy to me even though I hadn't tried to breach it and said that I have never used coupons for other shopping. Makes me not want to use coupons in Tesco again. So next time I will make sure any items with coupons are scanned last!

Thanks! For those who come after me, make sure you use IE or firefox - you cant use google chrome browser to get the coupon. Nor can you get the offer if you get the voucher sent to your email address (the link brings you to another site which says offer cannot be found) Have emailed them to see what they say!
I had problems using firefox and had to resort to IE, but it did print out easily (B&W) which I presented at Morrisons with no problem
I did email it out to a list I have for bargins and only 2 other people did it out of 30, 1 guy didnt do it because he thought it was old bread, mind you he doesnt like TopCashBack either because he thinks its cheap and nasty......

    Thanks to all

It seems some Tescos are accepting, others accepting reluctantly, some rejecting. Similar at Asda and they don't seem to even scan at Waitrose. It's madness I tell 'ee!
My poor loaf had to be abandoned at checkout - I still think of him whenever I'm scoffing toast ...
