I found an item that I can't buy elsewhere from Studio... I've just opened the account with them but now I'm worried....
Anyone had any good or bad experiences with them?

i have an account with them, only use it maybe every other christmas, so not often, but have had a few issues with my account, eg, offers not being honoured, or personalised items being spelt wrong, and have found the staff can be a little rude, not very helpfull. but then i dont use them much.3 wonderfull kids :female::female::male:, 1 fab hubby

be aware that their apr rates are extortionate, if you can pay when you order to avoid getting into debt with them. You cant pay by direct debit and if you pay even a day late they will slap you with ridiculous charges so be very very careful!Sam0

Studio (aka Ace) are terrible in my experience. A lot of the products are inferior quality and the interest charged is a joke! Of course, if you are paying in full you can avoid the interest payments, but that doesn't improve the quality. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

I am currently waiting for manager to call me back. I ordered personalised PJs nearly a month ago. They were in stock at the time of order. When the rest of my order arrived the despatch note says 21 days for the pjs. It is now over that time and after 2 calls to them yesterday they are still insisting that even if they still take another 3 weeks I still have to pay for them! I think not! They also cannot tell me why they are not despatched, as they are in stock but not in the warehouse????? They do say i will not get them by the weekend.
They have not upheld their side of the contract so neither am I. The cheek. (they were for a birthday this weekend)0 -
I ordered from them because like you they were the only ones to stock the product. Even though I ordered online and payed there and then I still seemd to have opened an account with them. I am still trying to close the acoount nearly 5 years later :rolleyes:0

I did use them when my children were younger, but not now.
I can find everything somewhere else with a little research online.
They were the cheapest for some Christmas stuff years ago, but not these days with 3 for 2 or BOGOF items from other retailers.
I still get the catalogues sent to me and it's very annoying to get the Christmas book mid-July.
I have tried to cancel but without luck, but I will try again as I can't see the point of wasting money sending books/flyers etc. At least they have stop sending me £0.00 statements every month.
Have found better elsewhere.0 -
I would never order from the again. I ordered a few bits a couple of years ago, one of which was a personalised wallet with gold lettering. The "gold lettering" was just stickers stuck on! I also ordered a chrome personalised cigarette case. It was very scratched and the personalisation was hardly visible.
I also paid straight away and they acknowledged that my account was up-to-date with no outstanding amounts due. A year or so later I checked my credit file and had a default from them! When I tried to sort it out with them they were very rude on the phone and couldn't care less.0 -
I can definatly vouch for this! I was 1 day late paying this month, completly forgot about them and they have slapped me with a £20 charge! I cleared my account today and am closing it down!SamMoffatt28 wrote: »be aware that their apr rates are extortionate, if you can pay when you order to avoid getting into debt with them.
