just watched this on i player, what a great programme loved it can't wait for the next episode.
really felt for the kiddies having the malt extract and cod liver oil i'm 39 and i still remember with disgust my mum giving us virol (sp) i think it was called _pale__pale_ absolutely foul.0 -
Im 35 and my Nana used to make us have malt .. we loved it !!

The Whole series of Coal House at war is being shown again on the Yesterday channel from Tuesday at 10pm
I watched it years ago and thought it was brilliant so if any of you have never seen it - it is well worth a watchBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I live in France so don't get the Yesterday channel but, having watched Coal House at War when it was shown on 'normal' TV last year, I can thoroughly recommend it. I'd watch it again if I could!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
