I saw the last 15 minutes and thought it was very good and relates well to old style. I saw the bit about husband and wife both out at work so a cold fire to come home to and no cooked dinner till 8pm.If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I watched it last year, must been shown earlier in Wales!
It's filmned in the ironworks in Blaenavon which is free to go to and well worth a visit, you can go in the cottages and everything0 -

yeah Im welsh and watched it when screened here - its great - really funny! also took me back to my childhood in the fifties as things hadnt changed THAT much!!
I loved the teen who kept complaining she looked like a nana! couldnt decide if she meant like a grandma or a banana!
some feedback from welsh tv - a lot of the participants said they would now prefer the lifestyle! in some ways! would love them to do a follow up series with the participants - see if taking part in CHAW really did change them.0 -
oooooooooohhhhhhhhh i remember malt extract - it was lovely!!!! cod liver oil was disgusting tho - think olive oil only sardine flavoured. i like fish but that was yeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuch.0

Not seen it but will be of to hunt it out... like the but about teaching kids about os (tap lady and flutter) will put it on for eldest dd to watch as she loves that stuff

sorry cliffordx5 dont have tv mags either - money saving you know. try the bbc website you may find it on search or may have to go to beeb 1 or 2 channel listings.0
