It probably is carried out all over the place,but just as you are about to board the plane,these scumbag touts ask you for your surname and postcode details for "survey" purposes and guess what.......2/3 weeks later you have won a free holiday......If you see a scumbag timeshare thiefs neck, then Grabbit While You Can.

I was collared by one in the street - took my details and surprise surprise :rolleyes: I won a 7 day holiday in Europe for 4 people. I googled the 0800 freephone number the caller gave me to claim my 'prize' and came up with Club La Costa Timeshare - remember you don't get anything for nothing unless its on MSE! :money:

Exactly what I was thinking - especially in a foreign country renowned for timeshare!

Airline surveys are notorious for this too.They give you the impression they are interested in your opinions, while you are on the plane,but sell your details on to these kind of companies so they can target you.

OK Call me stupid.
I got the same thing, I went to their meeting and got my free meal AND MY FREE HOLIDAY.
I stayed in a lovely 5 star apartment for a week with great service and all it cost me was to spend the best part of a morning having breakfast and making sure I just said NOOOOOOOOO

CALL ME STUPID BUT IT WAS A BLOODY BARGAIN!!!!!!!!! (unless you decided to say yes but will power is what it is LOL)

That's what I heard as well. It's all completely above board and if you know that you can say 'no' then you get a genuinely cheap holiday!

I gave them my details a few years ago but couldn't be bothered to make the trip to the seminar that they invite you to beforehand and I was dubious as well. If they invited me again, I'd go!

Yeah I loved it, it really was a nice place and I had a great holiday, Im clever I now just book other peoples timeshares off websites and have the same holidays without all the services fees ;-D
People dont knock timeshare's if you are a tight !!!! stubbon person like me they are a bargain

my dad "won a free holiday for 4" from the touts in malaga airport! we stayed in a really really nice resort in Fuengirola(sp) all flights and accomodation free then all my dad had to do was go to a meeting on the last day with them trying to sell timeshare - he just insisted on saying no and that was it!


had a great time!!!

but yeah they're dodgy ones (probably most of them!) but there are som decent ones!

jsut gotta say NO!
