I've had my K750i for a year now and have just upgraded my contract to the Nokia N80. But I'm not all that impressed with it so far.
I use my phone to take a lot of pictures and as there is no lense protector on the N80 so I can see it getting damaged & dirty very quickly. Plus I find the K750i much easier to use when both navigating the menu and using the camera, also the N80's buttons are fiddly, especially for a girlie with nails, and I find my self pressing the wrong button by accident!
However, I've heard SE are bringing out a K800 with a 3.2 MP camera and have just phoned my network provider to see if they wil be launching it and they are!!
I would be grateful of others thoughts and feedback on either phone and comparisons if possible as I have got 7 days in which to return the N80 if I decide I don't like it.

not too impressed with the n range - unless u want to use the internet in which case 3G comes in handy or u need a smart phone, stick with sony ericssons definatly, but think its a lil while yet before the k800i's being releasedYes Your Dukeiness

I have used both Nokia and SE phones, they are very different and it takes a bit of getting used to one after using the other.0

Thanks for your replies so far.
I too used Nokia's for a good few years until I bought the SE K750i for my daughter, then once I tried it I had to have one myself.
OH is still with Nokia though but I'm not convinced about going back myself least of all because the lense has no protection and it's difficult to text.
The camera is obviously better on the N80 than the K750i but I don't want to rush into it and regret accepting the Nokia, once the K800 is released, which according to Orange will be a couple of months at least. (Although in all fareness, the assistant did say there is no release date as yet.)
I've only got till Tuesday to decide what to do. I know what I want to do and that is send back the N80 and wait for the K800, but should I keep hold of the N80, after all I do realise this is a great little phone and you can't have everything! Also I'm going away for a month in August and wanted the 3MP phone to take away with me for better quality photo's. Ohhh... the dilemma!!!Sexkitten

If you send it back, what happens to your contract term/upgrade eligibility?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

The old sim is reactivated and the contract reverts back to the old one unfortunately! So I just hope that the same deal is available when the SE K800i comes out, if I send the N80 back! The SA on the phone, said it should be.jnm21 wrote:If you send it back, what happens to your contract term/upgrade eligibility?Sexkitten

I know the feeling - I waited and waited for an N80 then gave up and took the Ericsson W810i which was a nice little phone and I got a great deal with Vodafone to stay with them.
But when I got the W810i I just couldn't get used to it so I sent it back and am paying a few quid to get an N80 though to be honest I'd been hanging on for months. I managed to keep the deal as the N80 came into stock at just the right time.
There's always a newer, better phone just round the corner and I'd love a K800i too but you will find if you wait for that then you may lose your deal with the network and more likely you will be tempted by the next nice phone.
I guess you have to take the plunge sometime - it's up to you but the sooner you sign up, the sooner you can get your next upgrade in a years time!
Good luck making your decision!

I am inclined to agree with Matt - being a tech-junkie always looking to upgrade my gadgets, I know it's always tempting to wait for a desired model to come out or become affordable, only to see something better come out.
Better models will always come out. Best to decide that if you have to upgrade now to get your deal from your network, to take the current available model that best suits you.0 -
Thanks fiish and Matt! I know what you are saying, I don't want to loose out on the deal, but when I rang yesterday, the AS assured me that it will still be around in a couple of months.
The main thing that bugs me with the N80 is the fact it has no protector for the camera lense and I can see it getting damaged in my bag with all those lipstick & lipgloss cases banging around in there...lol! But seriously, other Nokia's I've has in the past with a camera have gotten stratched etc. and with this being such a good camera I can't understand why Nokia didn't put one on there. After all the N70 has one and that is only a 2mp camera phone.
I guess if I sent it back, then found out later that they were ending the contract deal I want then i could always accept the N80 if the K800 isn't out.
What do you guys think of the K800? I've read a bit about it on review sites but how do you think it compares to the N80, especially in the imagery?Sexkitten

The camera is better on the K800. Check http://www.gsmarena.com/3mp_test_nokia_n80_se_k800-review-79.php for more info0
