Is protecting someone's house value on a particular road sufficient grounds for curtailing freedom of speech?

If so, then what happens to freedoms in general when there is a terrorist threat to everyone in the country?

Not if they choose to post personal details all over a public message board.

The woman across the road from me was on about the house prices because of the bad press. I've only ever heard of celebs suing the press, that is why I mistakenly asked a civil question.
I use to live in what was "classed" as a good area and had the neighbours from hell eg I was going through chemotherapy and they were damaging my car and putting glass bottles under the wheels. I sold to a company just to get away quickly and moved to Barwell.
I've got brilliant neighbours now. What the road was like before I moved here I'm not able to comment on. But the film that was shown on the news of the so called yobs on the bikes was not anybody that lived down here, a neighbour who have lived here for over 15 years didn't recognise any of them.
My apologies if my original question upset anybody.
  • Celebrities sue specific newspapers for specific untrue sentences. You can't sue "the media" for reporting that something bad happened in your town.

I think your question was misunderstood initially as being one of a more general nature, hope your treatment went well.
