    Hi :hello:

so glad it's the weekend. I was just about to relax with a cuppa, reading the thread, when I got a text with my new mobile bill (my phone and one for DS1). It's almosts £130 more than it should be!!!:eek::eek:

He managed to spend over 1100 minutes on the phone in one month, not counting texts. If you hear screams of 'Help' in the South Yorkshire region later, please feel free to ignore. There will be no pocket money until he's married - at the earliest - and daily checks of how much he's used his phone!!! I really didn't need this so close to Christmas.

Here's how I got on so far today.

    Today's non-negotiable, absolute must-do's:
wash hair, dry and straighten - done
    Make lunches - done
sort clothes for kids - done
post postcard for exchange student - done
buy pizzas etc for tea and generally raid Jack Fulton's - done

I've also emptied and re-loaded DW, stuck towels in to wash and gone through the fridge to check for anything likely to grow fur. Not bad so far, and it's early days yet.

    More flying later.

Mrs Chaos - huge sympathy hugs. My SS did this to me three times in a year, the third time I gave notice on the account and put him back on PAYG. We worked out he must have sent a text every five minutes (inclduing when he was asleep!) for the best part of a month.

I have now hoovered the ground floor and binned some more junk, and S&S'd the kitchen. DS1 has worked really very hard and has cleared the playroom floor for me :T instead of whinging and doing nothing like DS2 .

Ugh is it me or is it getting colder? For some reason my house feels rather cold :( I am considering putting my heating on low, just to take the chill off the place, but I am trying so hard to hold on until 1st November.. Somehow I don't think I will be keeping to this if it gets any colder tonight..lol

Feeling rather blaa for some reason,

I have set myself a dealine of 23rd October (next friday when the kids break up for half term). I've had the log fire alight in the living room several times and am lucky that the AGA makes the kitchen and family rooms warm. Hope you feel better soon - maybe it is because you are cold

Could the fairy godmother who magicked the Yankee tarts deliveries this week please pm me???

Love and hugs to all the poorlies, must go have a cup of tea.

    And me please.

I've done another box in the RofD and I know now that I will finish the room! Aim to start with is all the stuff you can 'see' or is on the floor and then I'll move onto the cupboards - I've done one already.

Just cooking dinner whilst DS2 is at footie training and then I want to have a look on ebay and see if some of my other stuff is worth listing next week.

Greenbee, feel free to ignore me but the more you say about your new job the more IMHO I think you should jump ship quickly if you can. You can get away with a six month or less change, looks worse if you stay for 18 months and go. If this is how they treat new starters when they should be 'wowing' them for buy in and a strong positive psychological contract then how do they treat longer term employees?

That's kind of how I'm feeling at the moment... I've decided that I'll have to make my mind up before the end of my probationary period. I have a meeting with HR on Monday to discuss further - I need to know how I can be sure that the existing problem is fully recorded as there was no DDA declaration on any pre-employment paperwork, and also to tell them that my GP has a. referred me to the physio for the first time in years due to pain caused by my working conditions, and b. says that they need to send me to an Occupational Health specialist to assess what adjustments need to be made to standard working practices and conditions, as neither she nor the physio is qualified to do this.

Strangely enough, I'm doing all my work on paper at the moment, rather than via the company systems, as I don't want to leave anything behind that they can use if I go!

I've had a bit of a blitz downstairs, as I discovered a GINORMOUS spider busy hibernating behind a cushion on the sofa. So I've taken it apart, opened up the sofabed, moved the sofa (another marginally smaller one was lurking there), done the floors, moved most of the furniture, hoovered the curtains (front and back) and made a start on the hall (doormats done, door curtain done, most of the floor done). I has to stop to talk to the GP and then the health insurance people, so I'm going to tidy up and try to have a relaxing evening and not think about the indoor wildlife...

Hopefully off to visit a friend tomorrow and go to Bicester village, then I'm out again for lunch on Sunday! I think I might be in danger of developing a social life (oh yes... and I'm out on Tuesday evening too with my old team).

I'm sure I'll be back here later...

We have had our heating on for about a month here. Luckily we have a wood burner so can scrounge/scavange fuel for it but the oil boiler has been on every day too.

I haven't been nto the room of doom. DH has been in and fed ancient cat in there. I may go in and start tidying/cleaning tomorrow.

My DS3 is coming home for the weekend. I haven't seen him for nearly three weeks so I am really looking forward to seing him.

Tonight I'm going to tackle the kitchen while watching Martin's prog at 8.00 pm ITV and have some soup that my daughter made this afternoon. (the reason I need to tackle the kitchen) Not quite soappie's recipe more using a bag of woopsie veg I picked up in Asda last night but it was blitzed with the new blender so I need to find an accessible spot to put the blender in.

Have a lovely evening all :j
