Only because pigpen changed some of the rooms around this week! I still have a few odd bits and pieces that I want to get done, but even though it's been a busy week workwise, I've managed to get quite a bit done. I've even decluttered a large bag of books and another of clothes to Oxfam - DS1 has started volunteering there again.

Could the fairy godmother who magicked the Yankee tarts deliveries this week please pm me???

Love and hugs to all the poorlies, must go have a cup of tea.

Two windows and one lot of skirting board scrubbed to within an inch of their lives and one now redundant wardrobe dismantled - all by myself, I do like living on the edge! But I also love my lump hammer and electric screwdriver! It wasn't worth passing on to anyone so I shall see if best friend up the road wants the wood for her fire, if not, it can to the dump. Off for gin shortly

Me too please. I have a new email address thanks to a virus type thing that emailed some of my contacts about a fabulous new laptop I'd just bought...not!
  • Evening lovely flyladies

Hope everyone has had a fab !!!FRIDAY!!! I'm very happy as it means I get to spend 2 whole actual days with my gorgeous DH, rather then just a couple hours in the evening. Any nice weekend plans peeps?

Had a lovely catch up with mum and dad who as soon as I told them about my job did the whole wonderful, supportive, caring parents thing which made me have to hold back the tears. What is it about a hug from your mum that can just set you off?! They're really mad on my behalf aswell and def think I should take my ex-employers to tribunal. See what happens with the appeal first.

Made my first attempt at making meringues this afternoon.... and faild miserably!!! Think it's cos I was trying to make "diet" meringues using sweetner instead of proper suagr. Does anyone know if that makes a difference or not? They've come up just like puffy, really light cooked egg whites  not the dense crunchy cheewy meringue yumminess they should be.

Decided not to go into town as DH has haircut tomorrow so will go in with him. One lot of petrol and parking. I'm getting used to this whole MS thing now!

    and me please!

I finally got paid today for some work I did in April and May which will pay for the four boys Christmas presents. Fingers crossed the cheque doesn't bounce because it looks like project 'crocus' will not be funded and my consultancy work is non existant atm.

Since getting home I have brought the bins in, emptied and filled the WM, managed to get the fire going, nagged the boys to sort their BR and playroom floor (doing it now :A), fed the animals and cleared the clutter from the DR. Need to do lots more though so anyone for a HHC at 5.30pm?

Greenbee, feel free to ignore me but the more you say about your new job the more IMHO I think you should jump ship quickly if you can. You can get away with a six month or less change, looks worse if you stay for 18 months and go. If this is how they treat new starters when they should be 'wowing' them for buy in and a strong positive psychological contract then how do they treat longer term employees?

I have a question about cleaning windows, what do you use? I have a solution in a bottle (shop bought) that works well. However we have some marks from the suckers the window men used to put the windows in and I can't get rid of those. They show up in the bathroom with the condensation really badly and some finger marks too. What will get rid of them?
