Hi all!
I have had an O2 pay as you go phone for 8 years now, and my last phone is 3 years old (was second hand to start with too! lol), so I'm thinking of treating myself to a new shiny mobile on contract (assuming I can get one!).

I have looked online, and the best I have found is a free Samsung Jet with Vodaphone (through mobiles.co.uk) for £15 per month with 300 mins and unlimited texts. Apparently, you can also add unlimited internet through Vodaphone for £5 per month. I don't call or texts that much, so that is plenty enough for me, it's the unlimited internet I'm liking the idea of!
Do you think it's a good deal? It's for 24 months, and I'm wary of such a long contract...Any thoughts?

The other deal on offer at mobiles.co.uk is for the samsung jet with 11 months free over 24 months - that works out cheaper (less than £14 a month after cashback). Its pretty good deal considering the cost of the phone alone. Dont forget quidco as well.

Be mindful its a cashback deal and if things go wrong, mobiles.co.uk have general issues with slow customer service.

    Thank you for your reply!
I did see a few deals with cashback by redemption, but I'm very wary of those....being a forgetful person! lol

the deal I spoke of does have a cashback deal with it, but I didn't mention it because I'm only considering "upfront" deals. If I actually do get to claim the cashback, it would only be a bonus, but I won't base my decision on it. :p

Well there is another deal on there for 15 months £25 (100 mins, 500 texts) vodafone with 15 months half price (18 month contract).

I work that out to £14.58 a month after the reduction through cashback plus the quidco reduction.

There are other deals on O2 as well - have you tried phoning O2 direct and mentioning the deals. They do £5 internet as well (providing you take it out at start of contract otherwise its 7.50)

Also seen a 12 month vodafone deal for £35 a month with 12 months half price (best to check before buying).
