Orange data package questions.

I have a Blackbery curve 8320 on the Orange network. When I got it last year I also got the internet talk for blackberry package which was £6 (+ vat). I was under the impression that you only got 6mb with this package and after that it is £3/mb. Because of this I also got the 30mb data bundle for £6.81 (+ vat).

I went into the Orange shop today to pay my bill in cash as I am changing bank accounts. The assistant who served me said that I didn't need both data packages on there. I asked if I only got 6mb with the Internet talk package and she wasn't too sure so said I should phone customer services to find out.

I phoned Orange and they told me the 30mb was only if I was downloading videos/music/pictures and that if I was just browsing on my BB it wouldn't be downloading any data so I could do this unlimited. I cancelled the 30mb data bundle but am not sure if this was wise.

Can anyone give me any advice on what I can and can't do with the data packages I have had please ? as the Orange customer services didn't really help much.

Are there any better data packages which might be better for my needs ?
