Help with wireless connection please!

I have an unsecured (I know I know, I will secure it when I work out how!) wireless connection set up in my house (Belkin) and my laptop works fine on it. However my brother is trying to do college work using his laptop and he can't seem to connect to my wireless connection.

His laptop says he is connected to the wireless network and signal strength is excellent but everytime he trys to access the internet it just says- This page can not be displayed.

Any ideas anyone?

on each laptop using wireless or any using ethernet double click on the connection, then click properties, scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then properties, make sure obtain ip and Dns automatically are selected then on the other tab on the top make sure obtain private ip is selected and then ok for all of them to get out, wait a min and try again

Open a command prompt window (Start - Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt) and enter the command:

    ipconfig/all

and copy and paste the output here please.

You might find it easier to first send the output to a file by using the command:

    ipconfig/all > temp.txt

and then open temp.txt and paste the contents here.

Make sure the router is set to accept 802.11b and g. some belkins (108mbps ones) will not accept 802.11b signals unless setup to. Just check that both laptops are using the same wireless protocol

Thanks dickiboboy, I tried this and they are both set to obtain automatically already. I'll try and copy and paste the ip thingy now.
