Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

  • Morning budgeteers,

Another grey morning here in Glasvegas. I was green for last week :j. Lots of people seem to have done well special mention to the purples, I don't think we have had 2 in a week before. For any reds don't let it get you down keep trying it does get easier eventually.:D

I have £20 left from the weekend budget so my weekly budget is £40. I am off later for a day of cinema which may possibly involve cake.

    Morning!

I am going to go for £20 for this week.

This will not include groceries (budgeted elsewhere) or the train ticket to Glasgow for work on Monday (Ultimately reclaimable)

The budget is large this week as I'm in Glasgow on Monday (Woo!) and shall be checking out the Joys Of Primark to try and get some Christmas bits.

    Morning All!

I'm in for £5 again this week, still rebuiling the emergency fund after the flea disaster and aiming for purple :D !! Got 3 long days at college and workmen in so I doubt I'll have chance to spend anything!! Going to hit the play.com sale though for xmas pressies (out of the xmas pot so not included in the challenge - woo!)

    Happy Sunday all!!

Hi- please may I join? My pledge for 11th-17th is £7.91 (ok, I know that's a random number but it has evloved from as series of complicated calculations around the fact that I have £25 to last 22 days until I get paid! :rotfl:)

(ok, it wasn't a complicated calculation it was just £25 divided by £22 days :rotfl:)

Please can you put me down for £20 this week?

I've already spent £8.80 but this was instead of giving OH £10 for gig tickets so I don't mind!
