Are we going to be told the website URL? Is it a secret? It'll help people who are smart enough to check a few things with Google.
If I were the OP I'd cancel that card telling your bank you think you gave your details out on an unsafe site (may sound like you're daft but the person you'll be telling will hear it all the time). That won't fix the refund problem and that's a different matter.
And !!!!!!, try and stick with well know companies or recommended small business. Take some responsibility for your online surfing.0 -
If you see some GHD's for £57 and the high street prices are about £100, you don't expect the site selling them to be legit, do you? Especially if they don't have an address or email address other than one from Gmail.
I made a post in the Techie Stuff forum about how to spot a fake website.
Check it out here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=20038390 -
GHD couldn't really care less about the fakes, at least thats the impression I got when i called them.
I suspect they do care but when you've got companies like google happily taking money from counterfeiters to advertise fake goods with no legal recourse to stop them, you'd probably be at a loss to see how to stop it!0 -
sorry but i cant see how anyone can buy GHDs at a fraction of the price, usually from China, and think they are legit. Dont you think GHD would be out of business by now!! The only way to check is to ask for the serial number, ring GHD with the number and they will confirm if gen. 9 times out of 10 you wont even get given the serial number!0
