Condensation (on outside of windows)

I would imagine the OPs problem is caused by the same atmospheric conditions that led me to wipe down the windows of the car this morning.
For some reason, moisture-heavy air in the mornings or overnight settles on the vehicles, and, I assume, the roof and windows of my house.
However, I'm only concerned about wiping down the vehicles.0 -
Same thing happens in our "new" house (just moved in) never experienced it in our pevious house as it was just 10 years old so worrying the windows here aren't very good .... but looking at all these comments it seems it is quite common.
We are on the back of a farmer's field so we assumed there is just a lot more moisture in the air here and its just a little in
convenience until 11am ish like previous comments - just depends on what the weather is like I guess.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Yep its down to the weather conditions and plain, simple physics.

Yeah right! Like that is going to happen. It is something that only occurs occasionally, under certain unpredictable weather conditions. You are just being silly about something that is beyond anyone's control. I suppose that they could come back and fit single glazing. That would remove the condensation from the outside and transfer it to the inside. Perhaps that would be preferable to you.
Hi.
"Silly" is he? Then perhaps ignorant serves to describe you? The question is valid regarding the condensation.
My own experience is that my newer DG (2011) has condensation and my older (5 years) DG doesn't. Hence there must be a reason. It would appear from answers on another forum that the cause is the increased efficiency of the window over "older" DG units. Whilst this may be valid I wonder how many people would opt for these units if they were made aware that on many mornings, Autumn onwards, they would not be able to see out of their windows?
My own opinion is that I would swap the more efficient units for my older (hardly less efficient) just for the enjoyment of actually being able to look out of my windows.

Just joined this forum having googled the same problem. My symptoms illustrate that it could be a surface tension issue with the outside glass surface. I have had my top-of-the-range double glazing for over 10 yrs (warranty just expired!!). The condensation occurs only on the outside of three panes of a multi-pane bay window, and no where else in the house. True, it clears by about 1100. but has only started happening recently in the past couple of yrs. Either "the laws of physics" have just changed down in cornwall, or global warming is affecting us sooner than we thought. Or it just could be that having used a propriatory glass cleaner normally used for indoors, I might have altered the surface tension properties of the glass on those panes. I will meths them down and report back.0

Oh dear. Your sympotoms illustrate just how efficient your DG is.

I wish i had it on the outside rather than the inside, well actually i do get it outside at times but i celebrate then!0

We have the same issue with our newly fitted DG and I too was curious for a scientific explanation. Try this link for a sensible answer to the question.
