Morning all

I was awake before DD this morning and had the luxury of being able to come downstairs and had the early morning peace OH is still in bed but think his trip, travelling up north and hospital lack of sleep has caught up...either that or he's being a lazy sod again

Havent got much planned for today, need to fill in my application ready to hand in on Tuesday :eek: I really really want this job and hope I at least get an interview!

Pooky your poor DH, its pants that he is in so much pain. I can't remember what cause the pain to begin with, was he in an accident?

Yes, car accident back in March, slipped discs in his neck which are just getting worse and worse and trapping the nerves as they crumble.

I do like getting up whilst the rest of the house are still asleep...although that's not difficult here at weekends...I spent the frist 8 years of both DD's lives with them never seeming to sleep past 5am....yesterday they didn't surface until gone 11am.

God thats such a long time to be in pain...he must be so down about it!

Who was it on here that does knitting? I want to give it a go so I can make so bits. I did learn when I was very young but have no idea where to start so any advice welcome....!

I have a book called The Handknitters Handbook by Montse Stanley, it is fab. I already knit but have learned from her tips & techniques. Not sure if the book is still in print as I have had it for a lot of years.

Sally - Have a look on videojug, I learnt how to cast on by watching it the other day.

I've done half my ironing....bored of that game now - DD1 is going out to meet a friend.....a boy...... I know she's a bit keen on him....much hair faffing and eyelinering is going on here. Glad I'm not a teenager again.

Morning all, just been emptying the fridge of all the rotting vegetables.

It is disgusting. And what's worse is that it will have to sit in the compost bin for a week before the collection.

The smell has gone through the WHOLE house.

I need emergency Scented Candles!!
