He would go for that Elli but I just want him to be part of family life.
He has a break so we can take Chloe swimming or go to the pictures and we do go out, but its the in between bits that are hard. He doesn't integrate with the family at all that much.. He just wants to spend time with me and if I am not 'responding' in a way that he sees fit he goes mad...its hard to put into words, but I am starting to find it claustrophobic.
Thing is, he's not around during the week and therefore isn't really part of your family then..does his own thing, has his own life. I guess if he finds it hard to switch off from work then he probably finds it hard to switch onto family life. Can you set aside an hour or 2 each weekend that you can spend some quality time together as a couple and then try and get him doing more family stuff together. TBH your life sounds very familiar hun...thinks its the IT geeknessI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sammy I think he needs to spend more time and try and build his relationship with Chloe...it might make him want to spend more time with her and in turn be more of a family IYSWIM. Today was a start but just remember he probably feels a bit out of his depth if he's not used to it...probably why he's narky. doesn't like doing something thats he's not an expert at!!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sam I understand what you mean about wanting him to have family time but I was thinking of something to help him relax and de-stress . XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
