When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning everyonebanana.gifbanana.gifbanana.gif
Wooooohooooo it's the weekendgrin.gifwoohoo2.gif

Finally the weekend :) up at my lovely cottage for a few days , just let the chickies out and cooked them some pasta as a treat, it is really misty outside but I'm just enjoying being here. My new bathroom is finished and is lovely just a bit of decorating now and bathroom is sorted completely, and I can have a shower today instead of freezing my bits off in the bath.:)

Today I will:
check accounts
finish fencing chicken pen
all meals from stores
make a loaf in breadmaker
hokey cokey

sure there will be more but that's a start

Hugs to any poorly people, hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters :)
Have a great weekend everyone :)

    Good morning everyone!

I am back to weekend posting - my weeks are so busy at the moment!

SM - I do check the blog occassionally and I am so jealous!!!
Millie - When I lack motivation to study I set a timer for 45 mins at a time. Set yourself a list of jobs to do and cross them off as you get through them. Make sure you take a break.
Candy - Good luck with the sewing machine - I really need to do the same for me too!
    Mogchops - Enjoy the baking!

    Waving to everyone else :hello:

I have been working towards my monthly and weekly goals but am struggling a bit with them all.
I do have some good news to report as I received £50 M&S voucher from an ad company for a review I posted on Doo Yoo!!! :jI'll use this to get some new clothes/accessories for my new job starting in a week .

    Morning all!
I haven't been around for a while due to getting married last weekend (it was fab!) and going straight back to teacher training on Monday - my feet haven't touched the ground!

Anyway, life seems to be getting back to some semblence of normality now and things rae getting easier.... famous last words!

Right, hope all are well and here's my little list....
    • Walk dog x3 for free exercise (one down 2 to go)
    • Make big fry up brunch to use up eggs, bacon etc in fridge
    • Have a LSD (already been to shop for mushrooms for brunch but will try to limit anything else)
    • Check banks - ok-ish
    • Do any surveys that come
    • DO AT LEAST HALF OF MY UNI ASSIGNMENT!!!!
    • Clean kitchen - done
    • Clean car
    • Do 2 loads of washing and dry naturally
    • Organise stuff for new school next week (bit scary but I'm sure it'll be fine once I get there)
    • Finish shopping list for tomorrow - having a use it up week this week
That's it for today - must try to get some work done!
