  • Hopefully they won't do that to me! My regular saver is due to start on Thursday and the money isn't in my current account yet!

I opened mine a couple of weeks ago, but was told that I HAVE to use my LTSB current account to pay the monthly £250 in - is this not the case now???

it sounds like its down to who you get on the other end of the phone...but for me it was quick, efficient and painless, SO does not have to go from Lloyds.

    good luck.

My wife and I have opened an account last 10/10/06 then make the initial deposit of £500 the following day. When we opened the account in the branch the staff told us that reg. saver should be funded from our Lloyd's current account and set up the SO right there and then. We didn't argue that time but when we came back the ff day to make the deposit I asked another staff and told us that it can be funded from an external account then I also rang their customer services which confirms that it can also be operated from a non Lloyds current account.

So I cancelled the SO being set up from my Lloyds current account on the 23/10/06 and set up SO from my external current account and my 1st SO was credited on 26/10/06 and I have now reset my SO to come out on the 01/11/06 so just need to see if it will arrive on the Monday or Tuesday.

    No problem so far.
  • I also cancelled my SO from my Lloyds current account when I got the letter saying "if you are funding from a different bank please use above details". Saves time from transfering from normal current to Lloyds current account and then Monthly Saver. However I did note that in the paper T&Cs for the Monthly Saver it says that if you do not use your Lloyds current account as you main bank account it will change your Monthly Saver to a Guaranteed Tracker account, which pays less interest.

I am sure I have same questions before and I know it has also been answered by someone in here on same thread regarding Lloyds monthly saver. I don't have time to dig where it is as i just finished my night shift.

    Cheers
