  • Hey, long time no see..... I have been ill over the past week and couldn't even be bothered to get on the computer I was that bad.

Anyway, I got paid on Monday so a few bills and debts were paid. £90 out of the trusty blue box so I only owe mum £95 now, I want to pay that next month so that's one debt gone. Car £150 this month, I usually pay £300 but my cam belt was done yesterday and the bonnet fixed so it only cost £360, I paid that of in full. Oooh I am also keeping on top of the £1 a day challenge so it's all good.

Still not heard about whether or not I can get that time off in September grrrrr it frustrates me so much. hope you are all well

  • Bit more time on my hands today as I'm not in work until 9 tonight... think I should try and get a nap at about 3pm. So today I am going to wash my car whilst the sun is shining, clean George out (forgot to mention he is biting a lot at the moment....naughty George) and I am going to make some fudge from scratch!!!! Not a clue what I am doing but I will give it a whirl and take some into work tonight.

OH told me that he wanted to take me away for easter weekend so we are going to the Lake District for 2 nights as I'm working on the Sunday night/Monday morning, should be a nice break though.

  • Hi Guys,

Sorry for not updating in quite some time I just haven't had much time at all. Hope you are both well and thanks for the posts :T

Debt wise it seems to spiralling out of control, I now owe £2800 on one of them (paid £150 today) £2980 on the other (BUT it's not all mine, I paid for 4 flights on my CC so I am owed the money)

On the other hand I paid £200 of my car- bringing it to £3700 and £100 to my mum so I have now finally ended one debt yay.

As I said earlier I have booked the flights which means we are going to America for 3 weeks :j I know this isn't very mse but we NEED a good holiday and it will be our last for a year or 2.

  • Aarrgghhhhhh can't believe I have been away since April, I really need to kick myself up the rear and start up again with the whole paying of my debts, few things have happened since I was last on here, I sold my GTI :( which was a sad sad day, I have ended up with a new shape Honda Civic (diesel so cheaper for work) but I need to sell this one as I should really get a cheaper car overall and pay off my debts. Another sad day was that little George passed away a couple of months ago, I was devastated so that's it no more pets.

We have just returned from 3 weeks in Florida which was a well needed break and we flew home 2 days ago so now the debts need paying off.

The debts as it stands now is:-

    Dad £2850
    Halifax CC- £2360
    Barclaycard 0%- £630

    so total is £5843

    Here goes nothing..........

  • I have decided today that my challenge is to be debt free by the time I'm 30 which is in June, I'm not sure if this is achievable but I'll give it a whirl. I also forgot to mention that I gave up on the £365 in 365 days I completely lost all motivation a couple of months ago, the only good thing is that I haven't spent the pound coins I have saved up so that will do for the xmas sales. :T

Found out my shifts today and I'm down for working xmas eve, xmas day, boxing day, new years eve and new years day :( this is my first xmas in 6 years away from OH, think we will be celebrating on the 29th instead. Only positive is the extra money it will bring in.

  • So I figured that I have to pay £380 a month of my CC to clear it by June :o I'm not sure that's going to happen but I will try.

Payday today so I have paid £300 to dad for my car I now owe £2550, £350 towards bills, £300 towards CC. (If I have money left at the end of the month I will put in the other £80 so I'm back on track.

My car tax is due this month so that's £60 and it's mums birthday in November so I'm taking her to Bath for the night when the christmas market is on. Think I will try and find a cheap hotel, which isn't as easy as it sounds :)
