Problems with YouGov

Does anyone else do surveys for YouGov? I’ve been doing them for over three years and have had 2 £50 cheques, but for the last month I have had no invites to surveys. When I tried to log in I found the format had changed and instead of user name and password it wanted email address. I tried that and it wouldn’t let me in. I’ve emailed their support email twice and received no reply. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I’m very angry at what’s happened as I had done about £20 worth of surveys. In desperation I tried to register again hoping I would get the ‘this email is already registered’ message and it would take me to my account, but it didn’t happen.
It’s almost like they haven’t switched people to the new style account. The old link for YouGov just takes you to the new page. A friend who joined after I referred her is also having the same problem and like me when they do the request password thing they are simply being told their email address isn’t registered when it is.

Any advice from anyone would be gratefully appreciated. I don’t know why YouGov are being so ignorant in not replying to me, especially when in the email I sent there was a copy of my last survey invite showing I am a member. Please help!

I'm with yougov too (and have been for about 3 years)but I haven't noticed that they've updated their site or anything. Still all looks the same to me.

    Hi Tinandsue,
    Thanks for replying.

Does the YouGov home page you have now still have the old asking for user name to log in, or does it have email address? The one I get has email and not the old user name to log in and the log in part looks different.

This is the link I use to log in with - http://my.yougov.com/login.aspx?returnUrl=%2fmy-yougov.aspx

Did you send them an angry email or a polite "hiya, I cant seem to log in to my YouGuv account since things changed over to using email address' Can you check everything is ok on my account and help me please ?"

It's an email address instead of a user name now. It has changed slightly....they now offer you 50 points per survey which still equates to 50p....don't understand the point really. I have had a few invites in the last few weeks.

I was on it today and did an invited survey (logged in with email).
My current balance is 3750 (£37.50).
  • I sent them two polite please can you help emails and one I am very angry about this email. None have got a reply. A friend of mine's who I referred and who had done a tonne of surveys to get to about £20 also finds she can't log in either. She's emailed and been ignored.

I'm very angry about what's happened as I know YouGov make a fortune when they sell their survey results to the media.

I can understand you being very annoyed. I only had a few pounds in mine. Keep emailing or phone.

I am hoping it is something they will rectify. I'm sure their good name is worth more than a 'few pounds'.

  • Thanks Stebiz. Don't worry I won't let them off the hook. I'm so mad.

    Hi,

The site is a little different.

i was just sent a survey today. I completed it and it asked for my email & password which I duly filled in and it was accepted, no problem.
