    If she does eventually recieve £100 a week so wont get any income support as they usually let u keep £10 of it and the rest to the sos but if its cash I dont think she would qualify for IS

    The first £20 of child support is now disregarded for Income Support purposes, you are correct though that if she gets £100 per week child support she won't be entitled to Income Support.

    My ex and I have a private arrangement and I didn't do anythng until he's started paying.

    But then, we never had a payment schedule as such - we just agreed a figure and he started paying it...

    I wonder if it is different if it is done as part of a settlement?
