The first £20 of child support is now disregarded for Income Support purposes, you are correct though that if she gets £100 per week child support she won't be entitled to Income Support. If she does eventually recieve £100 a week so wont get any income support as they usually let u keep £10 of it and the rest to the sos but if its cash I dont think she would qualify for IS*SIGH*

Sorry I thought it was £10, my mistake. Sorry! x0

I was always led to believe that you had to tell Income Support as soon as a payment schedule was produced of course I'm thinking more along the lines of a csa situation. I personally have never waited until a csa payment hits the bank before Income Support was told about this. (hope that makes sense)
My ex and I have a private arrangement and I didn't do anythng until he's started paying.
But then, we never had a payment schedule as such - we just agreed a figure and he started paying it...
I wonder if it is different if it is done as part of a settlement?0
