Good value moisturiser - what do you use?

I was after some recommendations of a decent, but reasonable moisturiser. I'm 39 and have fairly normal skin with a tendency to oiliness in t-zone.

I was using a Garnier one, which was only "ok" imo. At the moment I'm use a Liz Earle sample which is lovely, but a bit out of my price range tbh. Particularly as dh and I are looking to cut back!!

What do you use and/or recommend?

Thanks.

  • I use Aldi's own moisturiser, it's very cheap at only around £2.50. They do different formulations for different skin types so you'll find one that works for your skin. The one I use is light and moisturising but non-greasy, very good quality I think.

Olay Beauty Fluid; inexpensive, lasts for ages and suits most skins.

Iseree - Lidl - Bit too greasy for me but ok if your skin is very thirsty.

My bessie swears my Tesco Vitamin E which I will be trying next.

I love Natual Collection Tinted moisturising lotion.

Thank you for your replies and sorry that I haven't got back sooner.

I bought some reduced in Boots, it's one of their own brand anti-aging ones.

I will be trying all your suggestions though, one by one. Unfortunately we don't have an Aldi locally though, which is a shame!
  • I have the same skin type as you and I like the old fashioned Nivea cleanser and moisturiser in one.

Ive gone from LiZ Earle Light to Avons livv. SPF of 20ish as well and its usually on offer. One bugbear - its a pot rather then a tube or pump

Nivea brings me out in spots!! I have a couple of different nivea's and they've both done it. Very unusual, because I can usually put anything on my face.

Suki - will def check out avon. Don't think we have an Avon lady.

I have recently started using Nivea Q10 Anti Wrinkle stuff, I am only 19 but wanted to prevent the wrinkles! I have very oily skin and the moisturiser is quite greasy when applied alone, but its fine once I put my makeup on and seems to stop my skin from becoming oilier throughout the day which is strange! It does seem to be giving me more blackheads though but at £10 a pot I AM going to use it! Smells nice too lol x

I tried aldi and it stung my skin, but my skin can be quite sensitive.

I am a fan of Estee Lauder and always use their idealist skin refinisher, but i top it off with Neutrogena Day Cream (its in a tube) from Boots - its about £6 and it lasts ages, no matter what moisturisers I try I always come back to it.
