Please be careful with allowing people to send their own couriers, have you thought about the risks and limitations this will place on you?
Not only have you got the problem with the paypal issue unless you can get tracking from someone elses courier, you also have to be in all day to wait for collection, plus you'll need to have the item wrapped and boxed to the couriers guidelines.
Yes I know, probably best to list pick-up only or ask for a quote if delivery wanted.
How is everyone else dealing with this for the larger items that need courier service??

That's probably the answer, charge everyone Parcelforce rates. :rotfl:

Be sarcastic all you like but £10.99 up to 30kg via paypal. Pretty good prices to me I doubt you'll get heavy items domestically much cheaper. My customers are happy with that0 -
It wasn't meant that way, but rather as an option to charge all an equal amount, if that makes sense. I would prefer to offer say a £8 charge though and miss out N.I., or charge 2 different rates.
Thanks for your initial reply, it did make sense.

Due to the paypal problem I no longer sell large items that must be collected on ebay. The only items I sell that need collection are cheap things that I can easily write off if I do come across a scammer, but then by the very definition I won't get scammed as my stuff is not valuable enough to be worth scamming over.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
