Does the report post button actually work?

I reported a post tonight for a user getting around the banned words filter. I clicked on the abuse icon to send an e-mail and it automatically filled in the post link address.
However, I've just used the address it filled in, and it took me to someone else's post! So apparently I've now reported the wrong post! Wondering if anyone else found it didn't work?

Hi,
Could you PM me your email address the email would have come from and the time you sent the report?
Could you also have a look and see if the post you meant to report is still visible?
Many thanks!

Actually, I might have figured it out! It looks like the subject line was too long for my e-mail client by 1 digit, and hence it cut it off. So when I used that link, it rightly took me to someone else's post! But I'm assuming the full subject line was actually sent since the post has now disappeared!:o:o:o:o
